Mountain Tiger Tai Chi Qong

Tai Chi Qong constits of nine movements extracted from the slow set and performed holding a standing posture, bending the knees. It can also be practiced just standing and be used as a warm up or a training for beginners.

This exercise will let the beginners able to understand that the movements come from the waist, to develop the entrechment, the verticality, the feeling of the circle and the circulating energy. It will make the memorization of Tai Chi Chuan a lot easier.

After you’ve been practicing the Tai Chi Qong, you feel more firmly and deep rooted in the ground ; the legs are more sturdy, the spine is stretched then the back will keep straight without effort. The whole body is relaxed, the blood circulation well stimulated, the breathing deep and the rib cage open.

A regular practice will provide a great strengthening to the legs and one will naturelly go lower and slower doing the form and this way increase the pleasure of practicing as well as the health benefits of Tai Chi Chuan.

Tai Chi Qong has been created by Master Tung Kai Ying in homage to his father Master Tung Hu Ling died in 1992.
